{"id":8825,"date":"2014-10-28T08:35:40","date_gmt":"2014-10-28T13:35:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=8825"},"modified":"2014-10-28T08:35:40","modified_gmt":"2014-10-28T13:35:40","slug":"feds-investigating-theft-of-dayton-mail-by-contracted-truck-driver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2014\/10\/28\/feds-investigating-theft-of-dayton-mail-by-contracted-truck-driver\/","title":{"rendered":"Feds investigating theft of Dayton mail by contracted truck driver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>October 28, 2014 &#8211; An unnamed truck driver is being investigated in connection with the theft of mail she was contracted to take from the Dayton Post Office to Postal Service operations in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is an independent contractor with Rose-marie Zajac&#8217;s Mail Transportation Co. of Yatesboro. <a href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/fraud-and-theft.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8150\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/fraud-and-theft.gif\" alt=\"fraud-and-theft\" width=\"311\" height=\"278\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zajac said the driver has been suspended during the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was definitely surprised when I found out an investigation was going on,\u201d Zajac said. \u201cThe Postal Service&#8217;s law enforcement will take care of the situation.
