Since the position was created in 2013, more than 9,000 CCAs have been converted to career status.<\/p>\n<p>In a<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/blue.usps.gov\/corpcomm\/uspstv\/cca\/career-carrier-assistants.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><em>new recruitment video<\/em><\/a> (link available only through a USPS computer), CCAs discuss the job and why they enjoy it, even when it\u2019s challenging. \u201cIt looks like an easy job, it really does,\u201d says Alexandria, VA, CCA Juan Butler. \u201cBut when you\u2019re out there, you find out it\u2019s not as easy as you think it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CCAs deliver and collect mail on foot or by vehicle, dealing with the same challenges that regular carriers face.
