They have decided to make their site accessible to all &#8211; including the general public&#8230;we (PEN) believe they should have built the site with that foremost in their planning.<\/p>\n<p>The following comment was made by Toni DeLancey, USPS Corporate Communications at the <a href=\"http:\/\/postalaffairsblog.intelisent.com\/usps-plans-set-record-straight\/?utm_source=rss&amp;utm_medium=rss&amp;utm_campaign=usps-plans-set-record-straight\" target=\"_blank\">Postal Affairs blog of Lisa Bowes at intelisent<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>\u201cWe agree wholeheartedly that \u201cset the record straight\u201d would be beneficial both internally and externally. The site is a collection of articles, letters to the editor and other externally published items in a single place.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Work is already underway \u2014 and was from the start \u2014 to add these items to our external about\/usps.com site. The internal site was our \u201csoft launch,\u201d as we gathered sufficient material to make it worthwhile posting externally too.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Watch for it soon and thanks for reading.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Toni DeLancey, USPS Corporate Communications<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0&#8211; &#8211; Original post is below &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>USPS sets the record straight \u2014 online<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>New website provides responses to inaccuracies<br \/>\nMarch 25, 2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A new website is available for employees who want to know where USPS stands on issues in the news.<\/p>\n<p>The Postal Service has launched <a href=\"http:\/\/blue.usps.gov\/corporate\/pac\/CorpComm\/getting-the-record-straight.htm\" target=\"_blank\">USPS sets the record straight<\/a>\u00a0(accessible\u00a0from USPS computers)\u00a0\u2014 an internal website providing postal responses to the misperceptions, misunderstandings or mistakes that sometimes occur.<\/p>\n<p>The website \u2014 which includes postings of stories that recently appeared in <a href=\"https:\/\/liteblue.usps.gov\/news\/link\/2014\/02feb\/news10s4.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Link<\/a> \u2014 is an employee resource, with postings from Public Relations, Internal Communications and from the field.
