{"id":724,"date":"2010-02-02T08:44:43","date_gmt":"2010-02-02T13:44:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=724"},"modified":"2010-02-02T08:44:43","modified_gmt":"2010-02-02T13:44:43","slug":"usps-dpmg-discusses-delivery-performance-wait-time-in-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2010\/02\/02\/usps-dpmg-discusses-delivery-performance-wait-time-in-line\/","title":{"rendered":"USPS DPMG DISCUSSES DELIVERY PERFORMANCE WAIT TIME IN LINE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/PatDonahoe.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-725\" title=\"PatDonahoe\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/PatDonahoe-150x150.gif\" alt=\"DPMG\/COO Pat Donahoe\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First-quarter service performance scores and improving Wait Time in Line (WTIL) are the subjects of DPMG and COO Pat Donahoe\u2019s latest Field Updates video.<\/p>\n<p>The performance scores include expanded service reports on all market-dominant classes of mail, including First-Class Mail, Standard Mail and Periodicals, Package Services (including single-piece Parcel Post) and Special Services.<\/p>\n<p>First-quarter results show service performance improved for all classes of mail compared to postal quarter 1 in FY 2009, except for Priority Air, which remained at 92.3 percent, and Express Mail service which dropped to 96.3 percent from last year\u2019s 96.6 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Reviewing year-to-date performance for WTIL, Donahoe reports that the average WTIL in Post Offices surveyed is just over 3 minutes. To date, WTIL performance stands at 82.7 percent. This year\u2019s goal is for 88 percent of customers to experience a wait time in Post Office lobbies of 5 minutes or less.<\/p>\n<p>In offices where wait times exceed the national goal, Donahoe reminds supervisors and employees to manage their lobby by helping customers get ready before they come to the window, and to staff retail window operations to meet customer needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First-quarter service performance scores and improving Wait Time in Line (WTIL) are the subjects of DPMG and COO Pat Donahoe\u2019s latest Field Updates video.
