{"id":7206,"date":"2014-03-18T06:30:08","date_gmt":"2014-03-18T11:30:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=7206"},"modified":"2014-03-18T06:30:08","modified_gmt":"2014-03-18T11:30:08","slug":"usps-sony-pictures-join-forces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2014\/03\/18\/usps-sony-pictures-join-forces\/","title":{"rendered":"USPS, Sony Pictures join forces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>USPS, Sony Pictures join forces<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Marketing campaign features Spider-Man and Priority Mail<\/em><\/p>\n<p>USPS is teaming with Sony Pictures to promote Priority Mail and the nationwide May 2 release of the motion picture, \u201cThe Amazing Spider-Man 2.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Spider-man-usps.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-7207\" alt=\"Spider-man-usps\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Spider-man-usps.gif\" width=\"379\" height=\"317\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The high-profile, multi-channel marketing campaign begins this week and continues through the end of May.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Priority Mail products share many qualities with a superhero of Spider-Man\u2019s caliber, namely those of speed, agility and reliability,\u201d said CMSO Nagisa Manabe. \u201cLike Spider-Man, our priority has always been the people we serve. We pride ourselves on our commitment to public service and delivering for our customers, and we\u2019re excited about enlisting Spider-Man to help promote our Priority Mail offerings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A centerpiece of the campaign, which includes direct mail, digital and social media elements, is a television commercial featuring Spider-Man circumventing obstacles and delivering a Priority Mail package to fans attending a special showing of \u201cThe Amazing Spider-Man 2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The campaign also highlights the courageous acts of postal employees. One such example is Northern Virginia District Letter Carrier Isagani Ravelo, who saved a customer\u2019s life. After hearing a call for help, Ravelo found an elderly woman who had fallen and suffered severe head injuries.
