An employee may give a gift \u2014 as an individual, not part of a group \u2014 to a higher-level or higher-paid employee if the gift has a value that\u2019s \u201cappropriate\u201d to the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Group gifts may be given on special, infrequent occasions as long as the contributions to the gift are voluntary and nominal.
