{"id":4625,"date":"2012-06-21T22:30:02","date_gmt":"2012-06-22T03:30:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=4625"},"modified":"2012-06-21T22:30:02","modified_gmt":"2012-06-22T03:30:02","slug":"pmg-announces-three-acting-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2012\/06\/21\/pmg-announces-three-acting-positions\/","title":{"rendered":"PMG announces three acting positions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/USPS-News3.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-4626\" title=\"USPS News\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/USPS-News3-150x150.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>6.21.2012<\/p>\n<p>PMG Pat Donahoe has announced that a serious health condition has forced Chief Information Officer (CIO) Ellis Burgoyne to take a leave of absence.<\/p>\n<p>While Burgoyne recovers, Donahoe has appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Joe Corbett to temporarily fill the CIO position.<\/p>\n<p>Donahoe said Corbett\u2019s executive skills make him a good choice to temporarily assume Burgoyne\u2019s responsibilities. \u201cI have great faith in Joe\u2019s executive ability,\u201d he said. \u201cI believe he will be able to maintain the excellent momentum Ellis has built within his group as CIO.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finance and Planning VP Steve Masse will become the CFO during this period. Masse, with 25 years of experience in providing financial management and leadership services to successful business operations, joined the Postal Service in 2009. \u201cSteve has been involved in every major planning effort and business decision over the past three years,\u201d said Donahoe. \u201cHe is a valued advisor and contributor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Donahoe noted the two officers are well qualified to meet the requirements of their temporary positions. \u201cGiven the financial challenges we face, it\u2019s a testament to both Joe and Steve that we can make this transition at this time and with such great confidence, said the PMG.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Cynthia Sanchez-Hernandez, currently manager, Finance and Planning, will take over as Acting Finance and Planning VP. \u201cCynthia has done a remarkable job,\u201d Donahoe said. \u201cShe was integrally involved in the development of the Five-Year Business Plan and is currently working to develop the 2013 Integrated Financial Plan. She is well positioned to assume this new interim role.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ellis Burgoyne was named CIO and executive vice president in 2010.
