Courcelle announced that <strong>TAMYA TRAVIS (\u201cTRAVIS\u201d)<\/strong>, age 27, of New Orleans, pled guilty today to a two-count indictment charging her with mail theft.<\/p>\n<p>According to the indictment,<strong>\u00a0TRAVIS\u00a0<\/strong>was working as a mail handler for USPS and stole cell phones that had been sent in the mail.<\/p>\n<p>At sentencing,<strong>\u00a0TRAVIS\u00a0<\/strong>faces up to five years imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine, up to 3 years of supervised release, and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.\u00a0 United States District Judge Jay C. Zainey set the sentencing for November 17, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The case was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service. Assistant United States Attorney Christine M.
