USPS News Link – 8\/4\/26 -The Postal Service is reminding employees that gambling in the workplace violates USPS policies and federal ethics laws.<\/p>\n

Employees are prohibited from gambling while on duty, in uniform or on USPS property. They also cannot use USPS computers or mobile phones to gamble at any time.<\/p>\n

Prohibited gambling includes:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Purchasing lottery tickets or pulling funds together to do so;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Participating in sports betting pools for money, such as NCAA March Madness basketball tournament brackets;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Making any type of bet or wager; and<\/p>\n

\u2022 Using gambling devices for money, such as dice or playing cards.<\/p>\n

Employees who engage in prohibited gambling can face disciplinary action \u2014 including removal from the Postal Service.<\/p>\n

There are limited exceptions for Combined Federal Campaign activities and for facilities with Randolph-Sheppard Act vendors where state lotteries exist.<\/p>\n
