John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the charge today.<\/p>\n<p>Harris appeared for his arraignment in federal court before United States Magistrate Judge Hope Thai Cannon in Pensacola, Florida. Jury trial is scheduled for June 22, 2026, before United States District Court Judge M. Casey Rodgers.<\/p>\n<p>If convicted, Harris faces up to 5 years\u2019 imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>The case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Service-Office of Inspector General.\u00a0Assistant United States Attorney Alicia H. Forbes is prosecuting the case.<\/p>\n<p>An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt.
