Late Friday afternoon, we received notification from the Postal Service regarding their
\nintent to withhold posting of the levels 18 and 18b that fall within the range of remotely
\nmanaged Post office (RMPO) and Part Time post offices (PTPO) levels. It
\nis understandable that some of our members may be concerned about this notification.
\nHowever, I want to assure everyone that no decision regarding these offices has been
\nmade at this time. In addition, I want to make sure everyone understands these offices are
\nonly being held if they become vacant and still may be filled if operationally necessary due
\nto location or staffing issues. There has been no discussion regarding offices that have
\nincumbent Postmasters. We, as an organization, will continue to monitor this evolving
\nsituation and message any pertinent information as we receive it.<\/p>\n
