Other search warrant operations were focused on quality of life crimes in Flushing, in which stolen mail, IDs, credit cards, and a postal key were recovered, in addition to the seizure of various illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Eight individuals were arrested in connection with these illicit operations, with multiple charges against them, including mail theft, promotion of gambling, and criminal possession of controlled substances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese efforts continue to drive our determination to disrupt various criminal groups, especially those that steal mail to fund their unlawful activities,\u201d said arnell Edwards, acting Inspector in Charge of the New York Division of the Postal Inspection Service. \u201cWe thank the NYPD and the Queens District Attorney\u2019s Office for their partnership and resources to help us stop mail theft and related financial crimes that endanger our nation\u2019s mail system as well as our beloved communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is dedicated to defending the nation\u2019s mail system from criminal activity, preserving the sanctity and trust of the U.S. Mail, and protecting United States Postal Service employees.
