Almost a year later, five post offices in NC-11 remain closed.<\/p>\n<p>Post offices are pillars in rural communities, and these prolonged closures are negatively impacting constituents throughout our district. Many Western North Carolinians report inconsistent and confusing guidance from USPS on the reestablishment of service.<\/p>\n<p>Congressman Edwards has consistently worked to ensure the timely restoration of closed postal facilities. Earlier this year, he\u00a0<a class=\"ext\" title=\"https:\/\/iqconnect.house.gov\/iqextranet\/iqClickTrk.aspx?&amp;cid=NC11CE&amp;crop=15760.53577016.5654928.7853770&amp;report_id=&amp;redirect=https%3a%2f%2fwww.youtube.com%2fwatch%3fv%3dk5uaxcnP5rI&amp;redir_log=324487762228298 (opens in a new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/iqconnect.house.gov\/iqextranet\/iqClickTrk.aspx?&amp;cid=NC11CE&amp;crop=15760.53577016.5654928.7853770&amp;report_id=&amp;redirect=https%3a%2f%2fwww.youtube.com%2fwatch%3fv%3dk5uaxcnP5rI&amp;redir_log=324487762228298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" data-extlink=\"\">questioned USPS Inspector General<\/a>, Tammy Hull,\u00a0and raised concerns\u00a0about the inoperable post offices.
