Simpson announced that on August 5, 2025,\u00a0<strong>KANESHA FLORENCE (\u201cFLORENCE\u201d),<\/strong>\u00a0age 28, pled guilty to theft of mail by a postal employee, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1709.<\/p>\n<p>According to court records, on February 6, 2023,\u00a0<strong>FLORENCE<\/strong>\u00a0allegedly unlawfully stole and removed a greeting card containing an Amazon Gift Card came into her possession and was intended to be conveyed by mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FLORENCE\u00a0<\/strong>faces up to 5 years imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine, up to three years of supervised release, and a mandatory special assessment fee of $100. Sentencing is set for November 4, 2025, before Chief United States District Judge Wendy B. Vitter.<\/p>\n<p>The case was investigated by the United States Postal Service &#8211; Office of the Inspector General, and the United States Postal Inspection Service. Assistant United States Attorney Paul J.
