Simpson announced today that <strong>JORRY HARRISON (\u201cHARRISON\u201d)<\/strong>, age 38, of Houma, Louisiana, was sentenced on July 31, 2025 to one year of probation.\u00a0<strong>HARRISON<\/strong>\u00a0previously pleaded guilty to destruction of mail, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1703(a).<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, on or about October 25, 2023,\u00a0<strong>HARRISON<\/strong>, while employed as a Postal Service employee, unlawfully opened packages, intended to be conveyed by mail, that had come into his possession while he worked on a Small Parcel and Bundle Sorter.<\/p>\n<p>The case was investigated by the United States Postal Service, Office of the Inspector General. Assistant United States Attorneys Christine Calogero and Duane A.
