KANSAS CITY, KAN. \u2013 5\/8\/25 – A federal grand jury in Kansas City, Kansas, returned an indictment charging five former U.S. Postal Service employees with stealing mail.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, the defendants all charged with one count of conspiracy to steal mail and one count of theft of mail are:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Terrence Luster, 49, of Lee\u2019s Summit, Missouri,
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Laura Dantzler, 64, of Kansas City, Kansas,
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Arthur Hook, 49, of Lathrop, Missouri,
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Craig Roland, 54, of Kansas City, Kansas, and
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Cheryl Wankum, 60, of Overland Park, Kansas.<\/p>\n

The defendants, who were employees at a post office on North 51st Street, are accused of stealing Amazon return packages, mail, and other items of value for their own personal use between early 2023 and mid-October 2023.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Postal Service \u2013 Office of Inspector General (USPS-OIG) is investigating the case.<\/p>\n

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jabari Wamble is prosecuting the case.<\/p>\n

An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.<\/em><\/p>\n
