{"id":37826,"date":"2025-05-07T10:16:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-07T15:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=37826"},"modified":"2025-05-07T10:16:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T15:16:15","slug":"multiple-mail-theft-investigations-lead-to-federal-indictment-of-fugitives-in-houston-texas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2025\/05\/07\/multiple-mail-theft-investigations-lead-to-federal-indictment-of-fugitives-in-houston-texas\/","title":{"rendered":"Multiple Mail Theft Investigations Lead to Federal Indictment of Fugitives in Houston, Texas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Houston, TX \u2013 On April 10, 2025, Kyle Thane Ulbig, Ashley Diane Gray, Quinton Wayne Hogan, and Kali Nicole<br \/>\nHubbard were indicted in the Southern District of Texas by a federal grand jury on conspiracy to commit bank fraud,<br \/>\npossession of stolen mail, possession of counterfeit postal keys, and aggravated identity theft.<\/p>\n<p>Postal inspectors linked multiple mail theft investigations from May to November 2024 to a criminal network that targeted<br \/>\nbusiness and residential mailboxes with the intent to steal checks, credit\/debit cards, and other sensitive mail containing<br \/>\nhundreds of victims\u2019 personally identifiable information.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe safety and security of the U.S. Mail and its customers are core to the mission of the Postal Inspection Service,\u201d said<br \/>\nHouston Division Acting U.S. Postal Inspector in Charge Shameka Jackson. \u201cThis case is an example of how postal<br \/>\ninspectors protect the integrity of the U.S. Mail and hold criminals accountable for their actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All fugitives involved in the federal indictment have been arrested and are in federal custody awaiting trial.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Postal Inspection Service values our law enforcement partners. We are grateful to the Texas Department of<br \/>\nPublic Safety Trooper and Criminal Investigation Divisions, Harris County Constables Office PCT 4, Hedwig Village<br \/>\nPolice Department, Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office, and the Houston Police Department for their assistance with ensuring<br \/>\nfugitives and mail thieves are brought to justice.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that criminal charges are only allegations against a person.
