The 36-month contract covers 130,000 employees<\/h2>\n

4\/18\/25 – The Postal Service and the National Rural Letter Carriers\u2019 Association (NRLCA) have reached a tentative negotiated agreement.<\/p>\n

Upon ratification by the union membership, which will take several weeks, the agreement will run through May 20, 2027.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis agreement is economically responsible, fair to our employees and serves the best interest of our customers,\u201d said Acting Postmaster General Doug Tulino. \u201cThe agreement aligns with the Delivering for America 10-year plan\u2019s intent to provide reliable, value-driven mail and package delivery service to all Americans in fulfillment of our universal service obligation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NRLCA represents more than 130,000 rural letter carriers nationwide.<\/p>\n

NRLCA Reaches Tentative Agreement with USPS for Three-Year<\/strong>
\nContract<\/strong><\/p>\n

ALEXANDRIA, VA\u2014 The National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association and the United States
\nPostal Service have negotiated a Tentative Agreement to cover the 3-year period from May 21,
\n2024 to May 20, 2027. This Tentative Agreement must be ratified by a majority of the voting
\nmembership of the NRLCA to become effective.<\/p>\n

A detailed explanation of the changes will be presented in a special Tentative Agreement
\nedition of the National Rural Letter Carrier magazine and via ratification meetings to be held
\nin every state in accordance with Article XI, Section 1 of the Constitution of the National Rural
\nLetter Carriers’ Association.<\/p>\n

The required ratification meetings will be held throughout the months of May and June 2025 in
\nconjunction with state conventions when possible; the time and place of each meeting will be
\npublished on the NRLCA website as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

The NRLCA National Board unanimously believes the Tentative Agreement is fair and
\nreasonable and is in the best interests of the 131,000 hardworking rural letter carriers across the
\ncountry. The Tentative Agreement provides for substantial gains in wages and benefits for all
\nclassifications of rural carriers.<\/p>\n
