The Postal Service estimates that approximately 10,000 employees will voluntarily participate\/opt-in to this initiative. Final participation numbers will be released once the initiative timeframe expires.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Contrary to numerous reports, this VER is not linked to any agreements with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). There have been no recommendations, decisions or outcomes related to any DOGE interactions at this time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We urge media outlets to ensure accuracy in their reporting and to verify information before dissemination. The U.S. Postal Service remains committed to transparency and accountability, and we will continue to provide updates as the VER initiative progresses.
