Hickton announced.<\/p>\n<p>The two-count indictment named Jeffrey Allen Gogets, 50, as the sole defendant.<\/p>\n<p>According to the indictment, Gogets was a supervisor at the Jeanette Post Office. He alleged that he was assaulted and robbed at the Post Office. He applied for and received worker&#8217;s compensation. Gogets allegedly staged the assault and made misrepresentations to Post Office personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The law provides for a maximum total sentence of 10 years in prison, a fine of $500,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.<\/p>\n<p>The United States Postal Inspection Service conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.<\/p>\n<p><em>An indictment is an accusation.
