I got a basketball and then a football.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s not what he\u2019s playing with that made this holiday so unforgettable. It was how we got to this day that defines holiday magic.<\/p>\n<p>Kaiden says, \u201cI would have had an empty tree, nothing under it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This 9-year-old\u2019s Christmas conundrum began Monday when he and his mother Markita Bryant couldn\u2019t find the Santa letterbox at their department store: the first step in getting Kaiden\u2019s wish list to St. Nick in time for Santa to consider and fill his order.<\/p>\n<p>Kaiden reminded us that, \u201cIt takes two days to get my list to Santa since I have to get it to the North Pole from DC.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he was like Christmas is canceled, and I\u2019m like oh my gosh I\u2019ve got to do something,\u201d Bryant said.<\/p>\n<p>So, they hustled down to their complex\u2019s mailboxes to wait for a US Postal Service carrier. One arrived just in time.<\/p>\n<p>Bryant says, \u201cAnd he gave her the letter and she just hugged him and they embraced each other, and I took the picture, and I was, of course, teary eyed and he said this is like a Christmas miracle.
