{"id":27122,"date":"2019-08-27T09:37:57","date_gmt":"2019-08-27T14:37:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=27122"},"modified":"2019-08-27T09:37:57","modified_gmt":"2019-08-27T14:37:57","slug":"nalc-statement-on-death-of-connecticut-letter-carrier-daniel-nacin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2019\/08\/27\/nalc-statement-on-death-of-connecticut-letter-carrier-daniel-nacin\/","title":{"rendered":"NALC Statement On Death of Connecticut Letter Carrier Daniel Nacin"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"meta\">\n<h2>Connecticut letter carrier killed on his route<\/h2>\n<p><small><\/small><\/div>\n<p>NALC is deeply saddened to learn that 59-year-old letter carrier Daniel Nacin, a member of Branch 86 in Hartford, Connecticut, was killed in a car accident on his route, Thursday, August 22.\u00a0 Several Enfield, Connecticut police cars were in pursuit of a fleeing pick-up truck, when the offender ran a red light attempting to cross state lines and crashed into Nacin\u2019s LLV. Nacin was the Secretary-Treasurer of Branch 86 and vice president of the Connecticut State Association of Letter Carriers.
