This Tentative Agreement must be ratified by a majority of the voting membership of the NRLCA to become effective. The highlights of the Tentative Agreement are outlined below. A more detailed explanation of the changes will be presented in a special Tentative Agreement edition of the\u00a0<em>National Rural Letter Carrier<\/em>\u00a0magazine and via\u00a0ratification\u00a0meetings to be held in every state in accordance with Article XI, Section 1 of the Constitution of the National Rural Letter Carriers\u2019 Association. The required ratification meetings will be held throughout the month of July 2019; the time and place of each meeting will be published in the special Tentative Agreement edition of the\u00a0<em>National Rural Letter Carrier<\/em>\u00a0Magazine and posted on the NRLCA National Website.<\/p>\n<p>The NRLCA National Board believes this is a fair and reasonable agreement that is in the best interest of the 131,000 hardworking rural letter carriers across the country providing for substantial gains in wages and benefits for all classifications of rural carriers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TENTATIVE AGREEMENT 2018-2021<br \/>\nUNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE<br \/>\nAND THE<br \/>\nNATIONAL RURAL LETTER CARRIERS\u2019 class=\"link-caption\">USPS and NRLCA have reached a tentative agreement on a new labor contract.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Postal Service and the National Rural Letter Carriers\u2019 Association (NRLCA) have reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year labor contract that covers approximately 131,000 employees represented by the union.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis agreement is responsible, fair to our employees and in the best interest of the organization and our customers,\u201d said Labor Relations Vice President Doug Tulino. \u201cThis agreement will provide the Postal Service the tools necessary to meet customer needs while acknowledging the commitment and dedication of our employees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The tentative agreement is subject to a ratification vote by the NRLCA membership, a
