It\u2019s such a wonderful outpouring of love and compassion,\u201d Chenevert said.<\/p>\n<p>Danielle Quibodeaux, Drake\u2019s mom,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kplctv.com\/2018\/12\/05\/local-woman-asks-community-send-christmas-cards-vinton-boy-with-terminal-brain-tumor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told the local NBC station<\/a> <\/em>last week that her social media request is \u201cnot about presents. \u2026 It\u2019s about letting him know the community loves him and they\u2019re behind him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Drake, who enjoys hunting, fishing and Louisiana State University football, joins Maddox Hyde, a terminally ill Pennsylvania teenager who also is\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/link.usps.com\/2018\/12\/03\/for-maddox\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seeking mail this Christmas<\/a><\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Viral mail requests have\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/link.usps.com\/2017\/07\/07\/emotional-appeal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grown more common<\/a><\/em>\u00a0on social media in recent years, offering a new way to bridge digital and physical communication.<\/p>\n<p>News organizations have published the address for those who wish to send cards to Drake: 2412 Hwy 388, Vinton, LA, 70668.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vinton, LA, Rural Carrier Lisa Langley delivers mail and packages to Drake Quibodeaux this week.
