(KOIN) \u2014 The holiday shopping season is in full force, and people all over Portland want to make sure their packages end up in the right hands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe make sure that we know if anything valuable\u2019s going to come that we monitor it,\u201d said Portland mother Britt Williamson.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, though, even that\u2019s not enough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy mom had a package stolen over in her southeast Portland residence off of her front porch,\u201d said Portland resident Jeff Connors. \u201cAnd it was even well hidden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s exactly what the US Post Office wants to prevent. They\u2019ve partnered with local police to put out bait parcels, which they hope will tempt thieves into stealing.
