Hochul, Jr. announced today that Nichole Crosson, 23, of Buffalo, NY, who was convicted of opening mail without lawful authority, was sentenced to two years probation by U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael j. Roemer. Fabian, who handled the case, stated that the defendant, a former United States Postal Service mail carrier, opened mail and removed gift cards and cash while working as a mail carrier. For instance, Crosson removed $50 in cash from a greeting card intended for delivery to a resident in West Seneca, NY in April 2016.
