Was this mail lady overreacting?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>WARNING: Video contains vulgar language.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>GREEN BROOK \u2014 Is it racist to describe a person as black?<\/p>\n<p>Post Service\u00a0officials say they\u2019re investigating a confrontation between a postal carrier and two Green\u00a0Brook residents that the\u00a0residents captured on video \u2014 a shouting match after one of the residents described the carrier as \u201cthe black mail lady.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">U.S. Postal Service officials didn\u2019t provide any details of the incident, other than to say it occurred May 14 in Green Brook, and that the investigation is ongoing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the video \u2014 recorded by resident Kimberly Pineiro, who provided a copy to New Jersey 101.5 \u2014 the mail carrier appears to be standing in the street, just off the residents\u2019 property, and the residents appear to be on their driveway. The video, shot on a mobile phone, is shaky and does not always show the people involved \u2014 so it\u2019s not clear where the parties were at all times.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">According to Pineiro, the residents\u2019 usual mail carrier has been off the job because of a recent surgery, and a few others have taken his place at different times.
