Polite announced that<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>ROBERT WARREN<\/strong>, age 74, no known residence, pled guilty as charged yesterday to an Indictment charging one count of attempting to rob a United States Postal Office and one count of interference with postal employees. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8129\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/dept-of-justice2.gif\" alt=\"dept-of-justice2\" width=\"220\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">According to court records,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>WARREN<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>entered the Postal Office located at 701 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans, handed a handwritten note to a teller, and demanded a quantity of money.\u00a0<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>WARREN<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>was quickly arrested by investigators for the United States Postal Inspection Service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>W<\/strong><strong>ARREN<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>faces a sentence of imprisonment of up to ten years for the attempted robbery charge and up to eight years for the interference with postal employees charge.\u00a0 U.S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon scheduled sentencing for June 23, 2016.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">U.S. Attorney Polite praised the work of the United States Postal Inspection Service in investigating this matter.
