In the small rural community of Ortonville, Minnesota, Henry Nelson is a mail man with a difference. His community relies on him, and he relies on his Tesla Model S. With its superior handling, exceptional reliability, and low running costs (except, perhaps, the occasional car wash), Model S is the only choice for Henry.<\/p>\n

Nelson is Ortonville\u2019s mail man and he travels his route with a Tesla Model S every week.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, in some rural areas, mail carriers are permitted to choose the vehicle most suitable for their job and Nelson chose the Model S. He mentions the car\u2019s cargo capacity and reliability as important selling points for choosing it.<\/p>\n

Of course, Nelson can also save a few bucks every day since his route is about 124 miles.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0took delivery of his all-electric sedan in October 2014 and he has already 38,000 miles on it. Cost? about $80k.<\/p>\n
