(KRQE) \u2013<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Police say a Raton United States postal worker was beat and left for dead Wednesday morning by a man using a brick as a weapon.<\/p>\n<p>It happened after 10 a.m. in the 600 block of North 2nd Street; that\u2019s just half a mile from the Raton Post Office on Park Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>When police got to the scene, they found 62-year-old David Boyer, a postal worker from Trinidad, Colorado, face down on the ground. Officers say he was bleeding from the head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had a cut to the back of his head, he was bleeding, when he fell face down, he broke his nose,\u201d Raton Police Chief John Garcia said.<\/p>\n<p>Just a few hundred feet away in the 100 block of West Maxwell, police saw 29-year-old Cody Martinez walking with a brick in his hand.
