{"id":13762,"date":"2016-01-15T08:58:43","date_gmt":"2016-01-15T13:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=13762"},"modified":"2016-01-15T08:58:54","modified_gmt":"2016-01-15T13:58:54","slug":"nalc-veterans-group-7000-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2016\/01\/15\/nalc-veterans-group-7000-members\/","title":{"rendered":"NALC Veterans Group: 7,000 members"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"meta\">\n<p><time datetime=\"2016-01-14\">NALC news &#8211; January 14, 2016<\/time><\/p>\n<h2>NALC Veterans Group: 7,000 members (so far)<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure class=\"photo\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nalc.org\/news\/nalc-updates\/image\/service.png\" alt=\"NALC Veterans Group: 7,000 members (so far)\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>The National Association of Letter Carriers is made up of approximately 277,000 active and retired members, of which almost a third are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p>To date, more than 7,000 NALC members have joined<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nalc.org\/member-benefits\/military-veterans\">the NALC Veterans Group<\/a>, which was designed to provide all NALC members who are military veterans access to the information and tools specific to veterans\u2019 rights and benefits within the U.S Postal Service.<\/p>\n<p>The NALC Veterans Group aims to give its members the means to connect with fellow NALC veterans and to stay informed on issues of importance to letter carrier veterans.
