The invitation is part of a mailing that provides information on exciting postal products, services and key mailing dates to make this the most convenient holiday mailing season ever. <a href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/usps-app2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-13196\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/usps-app2.jpg\" alt=\"usps-app2\" width=\"227\" height=\"301\" srcset=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/usps-app2.jpg 227w, https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/usps-app2-226x300.jpg 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 227px) 100vw, 227px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/about.usps.com\/news\/national-releases\/2015\/pr15_053.htm\"><em>Charlie Brown Christmas Forever stamps<\/em><\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>allow you to decorate your holiday mailings with Peanuts characters,\u201d said U.S. Postal Service Consumer Advocate John Budzynski. \u201cThanks to our new AR app, you can take a photo with the Peanuts characters and share it on social media. Our mailing to the nation\u2019s households is one part of our holiday advertising campaign that ranges from direct mail to television and print advertisements, to social media and digital promotion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Peanuts photo opportunity debuts Nov. 23 through Nov. 25 and appears again in mid-December as part of the Postal Service\u2019s rotating \u201c<em>Mailbox Miracle\u201d<\/em><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>experiences that runs until Dec. 28. Also, the 50th anniversary of the \u201cCharlie Brown Christmas\u201d TV special, from which the stamps are based, airs Mon., Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. on ABC. As the nation counts down to the holidays, the Postal Service will be adding new experiences every few days.<\/p>\n<p>Customers accessing<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usps.com\/\"><em>usps.com<\/em><\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>can find blue collection boxes near their current location by visiting this<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/tools.usps.com\/go\/POLocatorAction!input.action\"><em>link<\/em><\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>and clicking the \u201cPost Offices and Approved Postal Providers\u201d icon. Scroll down to collection boxes and then enter a ZIP Code or address.<\/p>\n<p>Starting Nov. 23 through Dec. 28 these exciting \u201cMailbox Miracle\u201d seasonal AR app experiences and holiday mailing tips will decorate your screens with nostalgic peppermints; toy airplanes circulating Christmas trees surrounded by boxes; customizable digital mailboxes to \u201cTAKE A PIC AND SHARE\u201d on social media; blinking holiday lights; wrapping paper; bows; dancing elves; and much more while sharing important information. Following are just a handful of the upcoming experiences:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gingerbread Box \u2014 A Gingerbread box grows from the edges of the collection box followed by peppermints, gumdrops and more decorations. The experience also allows you to order stamps.<\/li>\n<li>Tree Burst \u2014 Doors fly open and a Christmas tree springs out of the box. A toy airplane circles the tree, decorations fly onto it and a bunch of boxes slide under it. Click tap to order free boxes.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap it up \u2014 Wrapping paper covers the collection box and reminds you that the Postal Service delivers in select locations on Christmas Day. Click tap to schedule a pickup.<\/li>\n<li>Holiday Countdown \u2014 About a week prior to Christmas a live countdown reminds you that there\u2019s only a short time left to ship packages. An icon in the experience lets you schedule a pickup.<\/li>\n<li>Yule Log \u2014 A mantle drops on the mailbox and a fire lights inside the fireplace. Then a puppy slides in front dressed in a Santa costume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Delivering for the Holidays<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Postal Service expects to deliver more than 15.5 billion cards, letters, flats, and packages during the 2015 holiday season.
