{"id":11439,"date":"2015-06-27T09:14:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-27T14:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/?p=11439"},"modified":"2015-06-27T09:14:00","modified_gmt":"2015-06-27T14:14:00","slug":"nalc-usps-financial-results-through-may-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/2015\/06\/27\/nalc-usps-financial-results-through-may-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"NALC: USPS financial results through May 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"meta\">\n<h2>USPS results through May 2015<\/h2>\n<p><small><time datetime=\"2015-06-26\">NALC &#8211; Jun 26, 2015<\/time><\/small><\/div>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>The U.S. Postal Service recently published its results for the month of May 2015 and its year-to-date results through May 2015.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prc.gov\/docs\/92\/92597\/2015.6.24%20May%202015%20Report%20to%20the%20PRC--Attachment.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">They can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Postal Service had a $126 million operating loss for the month of May, before the impacts of retiree health benefits (RHB) pre-funding and workers\u2019 compensation accounting adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>As of the end of May 2015, USPS\u2019 year-to-date operating profit was $1.5 billion before RHB pre-funding and workers\u2019 comp accounting adjustments. This operating profit is about $370 million ahead of the Postal Service\u2019s 2015 plan, and about $200 million more than the results at the same point last year.<\/p>\n<p>USPS has four more months remaining in the 2015 fiscal year, which ends on Sept. 30.<\/p>\n<p>NALC expects that the results for the full fiscal 3rd quarter (which will include the month of June 2015) will be released sometime in the first two weeks of August.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/3-NALC-News-Small4.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6526\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/3-NALC-News-Small4.gif\" alt=\"3-NALC News Small\" width=\"254\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>USPS results through May 2015 NALC &#8211; Jun 26, 2015 The U.S. Postal Service recently published its results for the month of May 2015 and its year-to-date results through May 2015.\u00a0They can be found here.
