O\u2019Toole, Jr., scheduled sentencing for Sept. 24, 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 14px\/19.6px Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; margin: 0px 0px 1em; color: #171e24; text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal; box-sizing: border-box; widows: 1; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; background-color: #ffffff; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;\">On Oct. 8, 2014, while working as a Post Office employee, Lopresti was observed on camera rifling through the mail, removing unopened letters and greeting cards, and placing them in her waistband.\u00a0 When her shift was over, she left the post office and removed the letters from her waistband once she was in her vehicle.\u00a0 She was stopped by police a short time later and the unopened letters and money were observed on her lap.\u00a0 Lopresti admitted to law enforcement officers that she took money from one of the stolen letters.\u00a0 She further admitted that in June 2014 she began stealing letters and contents from the letters from the Hanover Post Office, and had taken approximately $2,000 in cash, cards and scratch tickets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 14px\/19.6px Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; margin: 0px 0px 1em; color: #171e24; text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal; box-sizing: border-box; widows: 1; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; background-color: #ffffff; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;\">The charging statutes provide a sentence of no greater than five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000.\u00a0 Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties.\u00a0\u00a0 Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 14px\/19.6px Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; margin: 0px 0px 1em; color: #171e24; text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal; box-sizing: border-box; widows: 1; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; background-color: #ffffff; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;\">United States Attorney Carmen M.
