When Lakeport, CA, Customer Services Supervisor Ben Lovato noticed many 20-somethings don\u2019t know how to address an envelope, he decided to do something about it.<\/p>\n

Now Lovato visits a local elementary school to teach students about the mail.<\/p>\n

\u201cI grew up where you were taught how to write a letter, how to address an envelope and \u2026 see how the letter was mailed,\u201d Lovato recently\u00a0<\/span>told<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>the Lake County News. \u201cI feel this art should not be lost, and should be taught in schools.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lovato also teaches students about the Postal Service.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf these simple concepts were taught again, it not only would benefit USPS but children and young adults everywhere,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Lovato hopes his lessons will influence the next generation \u2014 and perhaps decrease those questions about how to address an envelope.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
