USPS will collect the food and donate it to local pantries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a good time with it,\u201d Corinth, MS, Letter Carrier Buddy Shumaker told<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailycorinthian.com\/news\">The Daily Corinthian<\/a><\/em><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>newspaper this week. \u201cIt\u2019s almost like Christmas, going around and seeing all the boxes and bags at people\u2019s mailboxes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The National Association of Letter Carriers and USPS sponsor the food drive, which has collected more than 70 million pounds of food each year for more than a decade.<\/p>\n<p>Naperville, IL, Post Office employees collected about 82,000 pounds last year, exceeding their target by almost half.
