Asheville, NC, Rural Carrier Tracy Siler<\/h6>\n

Asheville, NC, Rural Carrier Tracy Siler became concerned when she noticed a customer hadn\u2019t retrieved his mail for a few days. She knocked on his door and heard noises inside but no one answered.<\/p>\n

Siler, suspecting the customer needed help, called the local police department. Officers entered the home and found the man had suffered a stroke a few days earlier.<\/p>\n

One deputy said the customer probably wouldn\u2019t have survived another day if Siler hadn\u2019t intervened.<\/p>\n
