In Los Angeles and San Diego,<br \/>\ngrocery deliveries occur throughout the day.<\/h6>\n<p>USPS is expanding its grocery delivery service in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas, part of the organization\u2019s efforts to explore new ways to meet customers\u2019 changing needs.<\/p>\n<p>The test aims to build on the success of a two-month <a href=\"https:\/\/liteblue.usps.gov\/news\/link\/2014\/09sep\/news09s1.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><em>operational test<\/em><\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>that concluded last fall in San Francisco. Customers could order groceries and other products through Amazon Fresh and have them delivered by the Postal Service early the following morning.<\/p>\n<p>In Los Angeles and San Diego, USPS is delivering Amazon Fresh orders throughout the day. The new test began in early March.<\/p>\n<p>To make the deliveries, the Postal Service is using dynamic routing, a technique that sequences a changing series of delivery points in a logical and efficient order.<\/p>\n<p>USPS is testing several other products and services, including a<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/liteblue.usps.gov\/news\/link\/2013\/11nov\/news13s1.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Sunday package delivery<\/em><\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>program that began in 2013.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fresh test USPS expands grocery delivery test From USPS News &#8211; 3\/19\/15 San Francisco City Carrier Assistant Tin San, left, helps load a postal vehicle in 2014.
