Brennan received the honor in an installation ceremony in Washington D.C.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUSPS will embrace change and aggressively pursue new business opportunities\u201d, said Postmaster General Brennan. <a href=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/news03s1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-9938\" src=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/news03s1.jpg\" alt=\"PMG Megan Brennan story\" width=\"220\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/news03s1.jpg 220w, https:\/\/postalemployeenetwork.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/news03s1-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe story of the Postal Service is really about change. It\u2019s about an organization that is continually changing and improving to better serve the American public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brennan seeks to provide employees with more flexibility and better tools to serve customers. Brennan also called for new investment in infrastructure and improved operational efficiencies through better use of data and technology.<\/p>\n<p>The Postal Service will also repurpose facilities,\u00a0 improve processes, and invest in new vehicles and package sorting equipment, Brennan said.<\/p>\n<p>Other priorities include using analytics to help grow the package business and developing strategies to improve customer service.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan, the first woman to serve as post master general, said she\u2019s witnessed \u201ctremendous improvement\u201d in the Postal Service over the years and cited employees as the source of the organization\u2019s resilience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I visit our facilities and meet with employees, I see it everywhere and at every level, and it\u2019s the strength of our organization.
