As you may know, in an effort to address budget constraints, the United States Postal Service is proposing to shorten the current six day delivery week to five days.<\/p>\n<p>I am a cosponsor of legislation that would reject the reduction in service and preserve the six day delivery. The Postal Service\u2019s proposed reduction in mail service puts many families in the 9th District at risk by extending their wait for items such as medications, legal documents, paychecks and other time sensitive mail.<\/p>\n<p>I will continue to fight to ensure this change in delivery does not take place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TN Congressman Steve Cohen issued the following statement: This morning I spoke at the 91st Biennial Tennessee State Association of Letter Carriers Convention.
