Unfortunately, this has descended into postalspeak, as we all feared it would. You have to start with low hanging fruit. There is not enough volume to justify six day delivery. Routes everywhere are currently not being delivered six days; the OIG is looking at this. Saturday needs to be parcel only and if the USPS could get plant personnel to come to work consistently volume could be spread out instead of bombing offices on Monday. To even discuss these issues without bringing up the huge and unnecessary bureaucracy is abdicating their responsibility; management must be cut.

Once again, volume declined and total complement declined, but management and headquarters numbers are up. They won’t tell you this, because they’ve going to ask congress for more money to perpetuate a bloated, ineffective, and inefficient bureaucracy. They shouldn’t get a dime unless these ranks are trimmed significantly. Anyone that believes the postal service is losing money solely due to some borrowing limit or investment restrictions is a damned fool. Steiner has been a major disappointment. It’s funny, but go back and look at what Marvin Runyon said about the USPS, it’s still true. Congress, are you listening?

One of the issues that should be addressed is the non-strike clause. sorry but arbitration is kind of a joke. we are supporting our union, who is at that point taken out of the process, so essentially our union is the arbitrator. the strength of any union is the ability to suspend or withhold labor. Not that I support striking at all, the threat or possibility seems to make both sides (Actual union and company, not arbitrator whose only "skin in the game" is a paycheck not having any other relation to the sides, arguement or outcome) actually work towards an agreement (do their job).

$30 starting should be a given (it won't but, should be). either time to top pay or could be less steps or length of steps cut in half.

It was so intense that both Steiner and Tulino were at the NPF recently giving speeches, while I guess Renfroe was negotiating with himself. This whole process is broken and in the USPS favor. They want to drag this out another 700 days and they know Renfroe’s in a weak position. Nothing will be settled in sixty days and if the NALC lets the USPS go beyond that, every one should be thrown out of office.

Sixty days and that’s it, send it on. Renfroe should announce what the USPS offered and say it’s not enough so everyone will know. Another 700 day fiasco will do irreparable harm to the NALC and benefit the USPS. That’s one reason why these contracts keep getting shorter and shorter because it benefits the USPS. If this stupidity continues, a contract will end before it’s ever negotiated or arbitrated. All of the other issues never get addressed in arbitration, such as hostile work environments and abusive managers to name just a few. More and more, members need an aggressive union that goes after management on every level, especially since they don’t even follow the contract. I just don’t see much help from national with the terrible treatment most members receive daily on the workroom floor. National may not be able to get $30 an hour starting pay, but there’s no excuse for sitting back and allowing the abuse carriers receive.

So I had my food out and no one picked it up. Same as last year. It’s a shame because I don’t actually think usps has or had any intensions of picking this food up. It’s all for show.

Please improve the customer service. In parts of the 16th Congressional District in Texas, there is no customer service. For example, why is not the USPS held accountability for failures and sometimes a refusal to pick up stamped mail from a USPS approved postal box. Instead of speaking to mail delivery staff directly, the Manager of Customer Service Lorenzo Ramirez at the Sanders Street post office in El Paso, Texas, best response, was for the customer to speak to the mailperson, which means that taxpayers must wait all day for the mail staff to show up and then speak to them. This attitude does not deserve funds every year which USPS asks for from Congress due to their own failuires managing the finances

SO, NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE KNOCK AT THE MOUNT CLEMENS POST OFFICE DOOR. I STAYED ON TELEPHONE HOLD FOR 11 MINUTES WAITING TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE. I knock at the PO door for 15 minutes straight. No one will answer the door. I can see them at their desks, ignoring my knocks. Are they not supposed to answer to the public they serve? Are they not public servants? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? You have what to say?
