If the Steiner regime hired this firm, then the results as well as the cost need to be made public, and quickly. All of the results too, with no redactions or omissions. At this point, even if the last quarters losses are “ better “ than expected, it’s not going to mean anything because the public and Congress know about how poorly it’s managed; delayed mail, routes not even being carried, and arbitrary return and cut off times just to name a few things. Steiner would have been much better off if he had focused on service and delivered the mail. He could have then let the budget chips fall where they may, but instead he focused on gutting service to improve the budget numbers and has alienated everyone. As large a failure as his tenure has been, he has done everyone a huge favor by finally shining a light on the dysfunction and incompetence of management at the USPS. It’s unlikely Hawley will back off. We can only hope that he sees it through and if so prepare to be shocked.
