It’s funny how all of these congressmen write letters to Steiner complaining about issues he’s very well aware of. Senator Ossoff started this probably a year ago and I think Georgia still has some of the worst service in the country. Steiner appointed his deputy PMG, Doug Tulino, to look into these areas and find out what the problems were. Tulino is also leading negotiations with the NALC on a new contract. He did manage to take a day off and speak at the National Postal Forum even though Steiner also spoke. It sure would seem that his presence would be required either negotiating or fixing the poor service plaguing the country, but poor Renfroe was probably sitting at the negotiating table ready to fight for another historic contract. It’s time somebody, somewhere asked Steiner how he’s going to fix these problems, rather than pointing out what he already knows. He’s about as accountable as the managers running these facilities that consistently fail OIG audits.
