I work in a medium size office and our clerks are completely happy to have the management doing clerk work, the rurals are doing clerk work, the city carriers are doing clerk work and they simply overlook it all. I can;t imagine the clerks feeling any different if some staples employee does clerk work. As far as I am concerned the clerks “gave away the farm” a long time ago and it is shameful. This is the end result of the clerks not forcing the management to follow the contract through the grievance and arbitration process.
