I'm a retired postal worker and I agree 1000 fold. I get so mad when I hear from a few out there that believe that the workers are the reason for the postal service's problems. If they would take the time to investigate what is really going on in Washington as it pertains to the post office they would see that it is the ill advised actions of a few who we elected to office that are pushing for its demise. If they can get their agendas pushed through it will be a devastating blow to the fabric of this country. I strongly feel that by destroying the postal service by privatizing it will make a lot of congressmen rich at the expense of dismanteling that service which we all have a right to as guaranteed by our constitution. If you feel that we have a right to an affordable and safe and secure postal service as I do, please write your congressmen, especially republicans, and tell them that you will not stand for any attempts to destroy our postal service by farming out the services which it now offers. Also let them know that the postal unions have good ideas on how to save our post office and they should take the time to listen to them.
