I am in the same boat as Sylvia. What happened to the HQTG200810 step 4 appeal? Severance pay would be more the 15,000. 15,000 was the payout for leaving not the severance. We did not receive a payout after USPS said they would not be giving out any payouts for leaving. We were screwed and lied to. At the time all I could think of was just getting away from the depression and harassment.

severance pay for 2008 and 2009 early out post office employees

did the case go to arbitration for severance pay for early out employees in 2008 and 2009. I left in 2009, on May 01.

still have not received 15,000 in severance pay, and have no knowledge if the grievance has even been seen by the arbitrator 6 years later. Went to arbitration in 2009, now 2015, and have not heard a peep about our severance pay.

if it has been decided in our favor, how to I give my name and address to be on the list and not be overlooked.

if it has been disallowed, when was that, and do you have any information you could send telling why the arbitrator disallowed the 15,000.

I was an RCA in East Amherst. I worked my usual shift on a saturday, at the end of my shift I realized I had to take my father in law to VA on monday. I told my supervisor ***** ***** that I could not work this week monday and he fired me on the spot.He yelled, "well you dont have a job then, give me your badge' This happened on Feb 26th. Paul was very angry and I have been afraid to call the Post Master. I contacted HR, who have always been very nice to me, but, they took a very long time getting back to me by phone or email. My paycheck was held for several weeks. I was recently sent a letter and told that I was 'fired' due to unavailbility. I would like to work for the post office again, but I am not sure this is possible.

Thanks,
Robert Pierscinski
