I’ve paid my dues for 30 years; went to the Union twice for wrongfully treated issues. First, sent home in 2009 under NRP as an injured on the job employee with restrictions. It was sent down from on high that the individual unions were not to get involved it was nothing they could do. Second, I submitted a 3971 for pre-scheduled SL which was accepted but later I found out that it was marked in red, against me. I had to show my steward the Article to use in order to have it overturned.

Now I’m in a facility that hands out blue ribbons to employees when they call in sick and send them to the Union who turns around and reprimands the employee for being sick. I can’t support that behavior any longer, I’ve tried to overlook it and say it’s just this union, but it is out of control when the union supports and has the back of management during this type of treatment.

I am a somewhat new employee , my postmaster has choked previous employees, im having a problem. Union says he can do what he wants. I want out. gonna quit

Whether you are in a union or out. The Postal Service is a culture that uses the “Good ole Boy” system and NEPOTISM as well as Discrimination. You really don’t need a UNION. Been in and out myself the only people that get represented well, are the ones that hold offices in the union. Just saying!

I was a member for 13 years. The latest contract bumped me from a PTF making 50 hours a week to a NTFT with 38 hr job, with no chance for overtime. I work for a postmaster that screams at us, calls us names, and bullies everyone in the office. I went to the union. Nothing was done. Our union steward helps the postmaster with the schedule and negotiates her own overtime. I went to the union again. Nothing was done. I think I’ll keep my $600 in my own pocket.

I contacted the Union recently inquiring about help on not being employed after jumping through hoops. I have the same driving record as two others who happen to be supervisors now. Mines 12 yrs old actually better. I received a letter saying Im not eligible from HR.My test scores were higher as well. please help. Union doesn’t have a clue they said.

All you union workers who don’t want to pay your dues just stop and think, it was the union’s who gave you overtime Pay,Sick Pay, Vacation with pay, Holiday Pay, safety in the work place, and much more.so either pay your dues or find another job, I’m sure there are plenty who would be glad to have your job and be happy to pay dues

Any one working at any place that has a UNION should count themselves fortunate, and pay their dues,or else get out and go work for a non union company,like Walmart, this Right to work crap is just a way of busting UNION’s so we all can work for LESS, wake up America before it’s to late

I have been a union member since 2005 and the one time I needed them to save my position they helped a non union member take my position and when I requested to retaliate a grievance or appeal they declined now tell me where is this fair I was taken from career status with benefits to non career status due to a HR error and there is no help out there . Why pay union dues when others dont get help to take your job away . ok yes they are good for you not
