New video released of Ohio man accused of killing two postal workers

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Eleven days after federal agents said a postal employee confessed to killing two of his supervisors, the murder suspect returned to the Franklin County Jail.

Deshaune Stewart, 24, was admitted to Twin Valley Behavioral Hospital Christmas Day for an assessment on his mental state. Two days earlier, investigators said he entered a Dublin post office hours before his shift and shot supervisor Lance Herrera-Dempsey twice. Calls to 911 indicated Stewart was in the facility naked. Court documents indicate Stewart told investigators, “I shot him and he fell to the ground.” Stewart said he shot Herrera-Dempsey a second time in the head.

After that killing, reports indicate Stewart entered the office of Post Master Ginger Ballard but she wasn’t there. Agents stated Stewart went to Ballard’s home still naked, chased her down and pushed her to the ground. The trauma to Ballard’s head had killed her. More at ABC 6
