As loved ones gathered to say their goodbyes to Tyrika Terrell, the man accused of killing her was being booked into the DeKalb County jail.
Services for Terrell were held Monday at New Love Missionary Baptist Church in East Point, according to a funeral announcement.
The 22-year-old United States Postal Service employee was killed a week ago as she was finishing her shift.
Authorities say her estranged boyfriend, Quantez D’Ante Tyre, showed up at Terrell’s job and fatally shot her, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.
“(I’m) relieved that he was caught because he was a threat to society,” Terrell’s mother, Eugenia Grant-Terrell, told Channel 2 Action News. “He is a coward.” Read more at Atlanta Journal-Constitution
