Former U.S. postal worker sentenced for part in elaborate money scheme

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – 10/17/17 – A judge on Tuesday sentenced a man to 24 months in prison for his part in an elaborate Jamaican money scheme.

Eyewitness News reporter Gina Esposito tried to confront Antonio Brown after the sentencing but he refused to comment outside the courthouse.

Brown pleaded guilty in April to mail theft.

Between January 2015 and January 2016, Brown would take cash in exchange for diverting certain packages. Some of those packages contained drugs, while others had cash that came from an elaborate Jamaican money scheme targeting Charlotte residents. WSOC TV Charlotte
